This stunning Kazuri necklace is dramatic and sexy, it is created from spherical ceramic beads which graduate from smaller to larger. Kazuri, meaning small and beautiful in Swahili, aptly lends its name to the ceramic jewellery made by local women in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 1975, Kazuri jewellery began as a small ceramic workshop that helped struggling single mothers make a living. Today, the workshop has grown and employs 300 local women who shape and paint the beads by hand, making them into colourful necklaces and bracelets.
